This compact E1 Bit Error Rate (BER) tester, model A0040007, features self-check and keyboard testing, extensive error and alarm generation, detection and indication. It provides BER testing, alarm analysis, performance analysis and signal analysis.

It performs both out-of-service framed and unframed testing. It offers full-featured measurements of E1, Datacom and protocol converter and conducts clock slip measurement, frequency and level measurement as well as manual and auto-timer measurement. Test results can be uploaded, analyzed and printed via included software which is upgradeable via an integrated RS232C interface. In addition, this BER tester possesses a large memory capacity and saves/recalls up to 10 user-defined setups and ten sets of test results.

All in all, this easy-to-use tester is an ideal device for fast problem resolution, E1 PCM line access, maintenance and acceptance testing.
